Time Travel; Star Wars Style

I’m still a little “Rise of Skywalker” bitter, but Star Wars is ‘love’ in my world. When my son (Anakin) was a little dude, he and I would play this on split-screen – prior to the days of multiplayer mania.

They rebooted it about ten years ago and it was the first of many disappointing Star Wars projects. I truly believe there is no such thing as bad Star Wars, but some are better than others. I longed for the days of me and my boy side-by-side on the couch.

Luckily, I just purchased a Classic Edition on Steam and it has modern multiplayer! My son, who’s been in the military with a kid of his own now, and I, living a few hundred miles away, can reenact those good old days of same-couch competition gaming. One on one.

If you’re a Star Wars buff, here’s some gameplay.

Of course, I realized after the fact that Star Wars music is copyrighted to hell and back so my sound was muted. Feel free to make your own pew pew noises.

Update again: I recorded a half-hour of gameplay and it still muted the sound because of the music copyright. Apparently, there is a streaming mode setting that mutes the music. SMDH Lucasfilm.

I’ll try again tomorrow.

Also, there’s a few other things not listed here that are floating around out there. Best of luck with the hunt.
