Last night I watched the 2002 Robin Williams left-turn known as “One Hour Photo”. I didn’t watch it twenty years ago because I didn’t want to get duped into feeding the fever-blister of American society that was attempting to interpret early 2000’s mental health.

As expected, Williams “became” the role, possibly revealing many of his own personal traumas prior to his suicide. I found the story a bit lacking because I dont think any writer knew where to take it. What’s the solution to this type of behavior in a year post-9/11? Today, being a creep with a camera is just called “public transit”.

The direction of William’s talent is what sets this film apart from other genre films released around the same time. What the hell was that 2000 Keanu Reeves’ “The Watcher” trying to do? It even shared a portion of the Matrix soundtrack! That’s a Hollywood actor continuity no-no!

Are you a fan of this film? Does it mean something special to you? What is your interpretation of the ending photo? Comment below.
