What Did I Just Stumble Upon?

I’ve been searching frantically over the past couple of weeks for a new first-person-shooter. My last COD was III back in the early, buggy days of the PS4. Actually, I don’t believe those bugs ever died. I traded mine for a guitar that sat in my room for six years before taking it seriously. Now I play that instead COD.

I’ve recently gotten back into PC gaming with my newest writing laptop and it’s out of control. I’ve missed zoning out and venting my frustrations on digital bad guys. In my quest for nostalgia, I recalled how much I loathed the smart-mouthed children, modders, and hackers that accompanied online communities. Call of Duty was out of the question.

Then, an online friend suggested Witchfire. It’s a strange mix of DOOM, Skyrim, COD, Dead Cells, and some other games I haven’t even discovered yet. A single player Roguelike in a dark fantasy world that doubles as a first-person-shooter.

I think I may be in love.

If you’re interested, you can watch my first steps into this one. I’ll be livestreaming this on the channel often.

Also, there’s a few other things not listed here that are floating around out there. Best of luck with the hunt.
