I was going through divorce number 2 (I know; I sigh every time I write it) when I caught the fiction bug. Future wife number 3 (I know; I sigh every time I write it) convinced me that gonzo writing was narcissistic (I unfortunately spelled that word correctly with minimal effort; can’t imagine why) and that I should try my hand at fiction.

To appease said trick, I penned – literally; I wrote it with pen and paper – “A Taste of Home“. A friend fronted me some cash, and it got the attention of a UK literary agent, RIP. It was done in a time when you had to print books out and mail then. That’s how this portion of my life’s crazy journey began. It’s still my best seller at book conventions, not that I do it for the money. I do it just to say I did it. Life’s supposed to be journey.
That said, this being a Friday and all, I’m putting “A Taste of Home” at 50% off this weekend, or until I run out of copies. Of course, they’ll be signed and personalized. That means something to some.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Turn off the tele and hug somebody. All that jazz on cable news will go wherever it’s going without our attention. Sorry about what I said when I was drunk that one (possibly more) time. Love you all (Except you. You know who you are.)
