K-Pop Demon Hunters beat Sinners at the Oscar’s last night for best song. There’s no way. I just watched K-Pop Demon Hunters for the first time, and it’s SSDD. A bunch of bad-ass chicks with kung-fu powers who double as musicians. Their only weakness?

Hint: This was a Netflix film.

You guessed it. Boys. Every girl-power movie’s Kryptonite when it’s aimed at an American audience: boys. Gotta keep those birthrates up somehow!

“Someone call DC and tell them this is how you write a female hero character!” – Lisa Lee Tone, Bibliophelia Templum
