I’m going to scroll through my YouTube feed and tackle the first three things that catch my interest. I make no promises. Blame the algorithm. Also, I won’t watch the actual video. The title will do fine.

  • Strange 80’s Trends We Thought Were Totally Normal: there’s a photo of a water-bed. Let me tell you; not only do I remember water-beds, I’ve actually been inside a water-bed dealership. I personally slept in one from 1979 until 1989. I haven’t slept as well since! I was the master of assembly/disassembly, and I changed the water often. I’ve sprung leaks, patched them in the night, and damn-near froze to death when my heater shorted out. I even tried that 80’s baby oil thing you only read about in heavy metal magazines; just so she’d  have cool things to talk to her grandkids about. For the glam-metal generation, waterbeds made perfect sense.
  • 3 Arrested On Hershey Park Opening Day After Group Fight – This one’s easy; I blame law enforcement for stopping simple fist fights. The reason kids get in fights so easily now is because they know the cops are going to break it up. If a few more people would really get the shit knocked out of them more often rather than just a couple of sucker punches for social media, there’d be less disagreements. Also, it’s rural Pennsylvania, and the news shot shows an old, white security guard wailing on some young black kids. Click bait. Everyone is so on-edge right now; racially. Also, all ye squabbling youth; stop being poons. Fight in the parking lot gen X style so there’s no chance of it getting broken up. You disappoint us.
  • Star Wars Fans Are Not Ready For This: It’s the early reviews for the upcoming Darth Maul series – We’re not ready? Blow me! I was a Star Wars junkie in his mid-twenties when Phantom Menace Mania struck in 1999. Every piece of advertising showed us this double-bladed wizard of a villain who only received a few moments of screen time. We’ll be damned. Clone Wars and Rebels series have turned Maul into one of the best Star Wars characters, and I hope this series is brutal AF. I need more Sith shows and movies!

That’s it, folks. Sleepy time. What are your thoughts on any of these topics? Let’s discuss.
