First of all, WordPress AI read what I wrote and created the cover image. Look at it. I mean, really look at it. It’s hilarious on multiple levels.

This song: Voices by Disturbed.

The first time I ever heard this song, I was in a strip club in Long Beach, California with some guys who would go on to be a studio musician, a NASA dude, a successful techie, and a television producer. We were employed by Nortel Networks before the 9/11 Telecom Bust, and were throwing five’s instead of one’s.

The DJ played this song (he also made a Pokémon reference, which I found weird at the time. Pokémon was only beginning to become the world phenomenon that it is today. It was just a morning cartoon with some cute characters, at least to a late-twenties father of little girls. Did anyone in the audience get the reference other than me? I just remember that it made me feel weird at the time):

but mixed Brandon Lee’s “The Crow” rooftop solo into the beginning.

Blessings to the strip club DJ; every girl’s big brother.

Also, this stripper took off my Dallas Stars cap and put it between her thong and hoo-haa. We lost out of the playoffs the next evening.

She cursed them. That witch was probably an LA Kings fan, so I immediately threw that hat in the wash. The Kings lost out of the playoffs on the following night. Hockey has nothing to do with skill. It’s all somewhat biblically balanced between hats and hoo-haa’s.
