What’s it known for? According to the fine folks at Wikipedia: “Eighter from Decatur” is a slang phrase used by craps shooters who want to roll an eight, as well as the title of a song (minus the “e” in eighter) by Western Swing legend Bob Wills. In 1949, Decatur mayor Syl Hardwick added the phrase to two signs welcoming tourists to the town.

Also, this dude tried to hook me up with his girlfriend’s aunt there during Thanksgiving of 2004. I was newly separated, and this chick was more into “Baseball Dads”. Most uncomfortable Thanksgiving, so far.

Cigar shaped object moving back and forth

The object I observed was hovering towards the north. It seemed like it stopped and then began moving backwards. After a few moments it just vanished.
