Survived Another.

This morning, for the first time in months, I decided to get a bit more ‘motivated’. If you follow, then you already know where I’ve been all winter; here. Now that the annual thaw commences, I can start implementing all these crazy ideas I’ve had bouncing around in my head since before the holidays.

I’ll get into more detail regarding those as they come around. I don’t want to jinx anything, or give some half-ass hack a good idea before it’s come to fruition. It happens; it’s a good practice to keep your art ideas off social media until they’ve been somewhat solidified. I speak from experience.

I will have a couple of contributors on here soon to help offer some alternate views to various subjects, my beautiful flock. Church is officially in service.

Last week, when I saw the little kid in the cute hat being detained by ICE, I felt a switch flip. I’d seen one of my grandchildren wear that same, exact hat before, and he’s not white either. In that moment, I wanted to destroy every building in Minnesota until I found the fucko responsible for taking this little boy and his father into custody.

I didn’t want to beat the person up or stab them or shoot them; I wanted to rip their throat out with my own teeth and swallow. Real anger. Primitive anger.

The killing of the VA nurse and the mother didn’t help things much, but Liam Ramos was my trigger. There’s a huge difference in being a scared adult and a scared child. I think about all the things that happened to me when I was near that age, and its effect on me as an adult. Think about it; whatever this poor kid would normally experience within an already traumatic, young life, he gets to mix in being arrested, put on a plane (which still petrifies me to this day), and sent to a Texas prison.

This kid is either going to grow up and be a serial killer or Batman; it’s a coin toss.

So far this morning, now that the majority of the ice (actual ice; not wannabe GI Joe pussies) has melted (most; we don’t get sand in the hood), I decided to take a walk around my neighborhood park. It’s a cool place with a ton of history. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Cliff,_Dallas

For years now, this park was often a traffic jam of walkers, runners, and cyclists. Now? Barren. Abandoned. Desolate.

I’d made friends there, and was looking forward to speaking with them for the first time in months. Never have they NOT been there before. Then, I got a sinking feeling…

All of them were from Mexico.

I’m going to say something here, and you can interpret it however you like:

The Jewish holocaust of WWII began like Minneapolis. It’s happening now, folks. Here; at home. The time to pick sides passed years ago.

The television isn’t showing us everything; they never do. Put that in your pipe and smoke it for a while, and tell me how it tastes…
