This is my wife. All she wanted for Mother’s Day was to be left to her own devices. Currently, she’s zesting limes by hand to try and replicate this Key Lime Pie that changed my world at this little place called The Cottage Cafe in Cle Elum, Washington.

Me and my traveling buddy Jim (who worked on the tv show Big Brother, gave me an official prop from Land of the Lost, and provided a Detroit lunch date with Hell Yeah, Five Finger Death Punch, and Volbeat aka cool guy) and I needed a break after a long day in Seattle, so we took a chance on this place. He fell in love with a waitress named Jenny, and the rest is history.
Anyway, she’s a food artist, and I’m a storyteller. She’s using Mother’s Day to help live one of my memories.
Time travel, baby.
Update: she crafted ALL day. She made herself a small quiche for lunch (I’m allergic to eggs so she rarely gets it), an enormous pork pot pie for dinner (I’m also allergic to turkey and chicken; she has Celiac aka no gluten), and the pie.
All egg free and gluten free resturant quality food. There’s a cookbook in the works. Potentially a resturant. Depends on how the apocalypse goes.

And now…

She did it.

Also this.
