The Gonzo Wolf

Ditch Digger – Porch Swing Poetry

Small wand

Big magic

Over-cooked

Lonely; tragic

In our face

But out of sight

The sleepless sweats

Engulf the night

Small world

Big planet

“Walk this way”

And, “Dammit, Janet”

What goes where?

The squarest peg

The wolves approach

To hump our leg

Unsheathed

Frictioned skin

Uncomfortable?

Just say when

The spoon-fed money

Lets their’s fly

We won’t get ours

Until we die

Imaginary

So they say

Don’t be black

And don’t be gay

The Lord persists

With polished shoes

Just read the book

Avoid the clues

Ingenious

& worth awards

They fooled us all

We fell on swords

For those in charge

We careless souls

So etch our stones

And fill our holes
